The Oklahoma City Thunder take on the Indiana Pacers to wrap up their road swing. The Thunder will enter this game without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (foot), Gabriel Deck (Not with the team), Isaiah Roby (Toe), Josh Hall (Knee), and Mike Muscala (Ankle). The team also lists Lu Dort, who has averaged 28.5 points per game since his return from injury, as questionable. Dort is listed with a Right Hip Strain.
The Pacers are also limping into this game, losers of three straight while turning in a 5-5 record in their last ten contest. Indiana will be without Thunder legend Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner, and T.J. Warren. Thunder legend Jeremy Lamb, Goga Bitadze, Thunder legend Doug McDermott are all listed as questionable.
The Thunder are looking to snap an 11 game skid, bringing their record to 0-10 in the last ten games, they are nine-point underdogs in this contest against the Pacers. I will absolutely take OKC +9 points, I believe this team will break their skid tonight. For Locked on Thunder listeners, the money ball pick is Ty Jerome.
In this game, I am watching for Darius Bazley to up his efficiency, while since returning from injury Bazley has upped his counting stats, even setting a career-high in points the last time out, with the lack of size inside from Indiana this is a game that Bazley should not only continue his aggressive streak but up his efficiency in the process.
Aleksej Pokusevski has put together interesting games in this recent straight, while the box score does not necessarily scream great game, the eye test does. Poku has shown flashes of his playmaking ability, driving ability, much like Bazley, can we get another game where Aleksej Pokusevski puts it all together?
The last thing to watch for in this game is Moses Brown and Tony Bradley. Moses Brown is on a massive cold streak of late, while Tony Bradley has remained consistently solid throughout his Thunder tenure. If Brown can not get back on trade in this game, that will likely feature bulk center minutes for Malcolm Brogdon who stands 6’5 to Brown’s 7’2, that is a huge red flag moving forward. I feel very confident in my Boban prediction after this stretch of games.
This story will be updated with quotes from Mark Daigneault’s pregame media session, including if Lu Dort will play or not. Follow along live on Twitter.
Mark Daigneault confirms that Lu Dort is OUT (Hip), and Isaiah Roby (Great Toe) is a game time decision. Mark Daigneault also announced the 26th different starting five for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Theo Maledon, Svi Mykhailiuk, Aleksej Pokusevski, Darius Bazley, and Moses Brown will start tonight for OKC.
There is no update on the arrival of Gabriel Deck from the Thunder, however, international sources say he flew to OKC today, and will be in line to make his debut on April 29th.
For the Pacers, Goga Ditadze, Jeremy Lamb, and Doug McDermott are all officially OUT, after starting the day as questionable.
