OKC Thunder trade rumors ramp up with Kenrich Williams and George Hill

The NBA trade deadline is right around the corner, and the rumors are flying! Even rumors surrounding the Oklahoma City Thunder, which is a rare occurrence! It is officially bunkering down time. Make all the coffee you can find, open up TweetDeck with your timeline column, your Woj, Shams, and Stein tabs, and let’s get ready for chaos. Not just with the Roster Reconstruction in Oklahoma City, but around the NBA as well.

We saw our first legitimate rumors flying around the Oklahoma City Thunder over the last 12 hours. George Hill’s market is really beginning to heat up, and ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the most plugged-in NBA Insider, has outright said many times Hill will be moved. So what teams are interested in Hill? When will a deal get done?

It certainly feels like the George Hill domino will fall once the Toronto Raptors figure out what is happening with Kyle Lowry, who is one of if not the biggest names on the trading block.

Hill’s suitors should be every competitive team out there. The names we do know, however, are Philadelphia, and both the L.A. squads.

I brought up on Sunday, that Isaiah Roby’s play this year along with his age, makes him a really good fit long-term. With an upcoming roster spot, that could make Kenrich Williams expendable who is 26 years old.

John Hollinger of the Athletic reports that he is hearing the same thing, to watch for Kenrich Williams in this NBA Trade Deadline market. Williams plugs a lot of holes on a contending team, with his defense, hustle, recent shooting success, Basketball IQ, and cutting ability. Hollinger says the 26-year-old Williams will “likely command at least a second-round pick, allowing the Thunder to add to their draft board.”

Given Williams’ skillset and contract, he fits the need of every contender, so figuring out which teams are pursuing him will be a lot more difficult. This sentiment by myself, and Hollinger, does not mean Williams is gone. The Thunder really like Kenny Hustle, it just confirms that he is in demand and there is a price a team can pay for him.

We are just getting started so buckle up, it is going to be a wild 24 hours. I will have all the coverage of this on Locked on Thunder, right here on Bricktown Buckets dot com, and on Twitter!
