OKC Thunder see Shai Gilgeous-Alexander return, others make first career start vs Memphis

The Oklahoma City Thunder are set to take on the Memphis Grizzlies on the second night of a back-to-back. The Thunder will be shorthanded as Lu Dort, Theo Maledon, Darius Bazley, Al Horford, George Hill, and Josh Hall are all out for Oklahoma City. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will make his return to the lineup after missing the last game against the New York Knicks. Svi Mykhailiuk, who was traded over from the Pistons in the Hamidou Diallo deal, is still not with the team, as a result, he will miss today’s contest.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will roll out a starting lineup that includes Ty Jerome making his first career start, Moses Brown doing the same, and Aleksej Pokusevski making his third career start. Justin Jackson will round out the starting five for OKC.

The Thunder are listing Theo Maledon out with an Ankle injury, and Lu Dort is out due to a toe injury. The extend of their injuries are not yet known, but the Thunder will be shorthanded at least for this game. Mike Muscala and Darius Miller have yet to log minutes in the second half of the NBA season so far, but that could change today.

For Locked on Thunder listeners, the moneyball pick of the game is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and the bet of the day is OKC +9.
