OKC Thunder get back in win column as Bazley breaks out

The Oklahoma City Thunder scuffled a bit after their season-opening win against the Hornets, dropping 3 straight contests after SGA’s game-winner in Charolette. Tonight, the Thunder traveled to Orlando to kick off a five-game road trip against a team that beat them on Tuesday Night.

Against the Magic, on Saturday the team was able to rebound for a big win improving to 2-3 on the young season and setting a positive tone for the rest of the road trip which continues on Monday against the reigning Eastern Conference Champions, the Miami Heat.

After a week that saw the second-year forward deal with adversity and playing some downright bad basketball, Darius Bazley broke out in a big way during OKC’s 108-99 win. Bazley turned in 19-points on 70-percent shooting from the floor. Darius Bazley continued his incredible display of defense, as he has all season, but added to his game in this contest by rounding out his offensive production.

It should not go unnoticed how well the 20-year-old is rebounding the ball, coming down with 12 defensive boards in this one.
