The Thunder are set to face the Orlando Magic once again today. The two teams competed against just days ago in Oklahoma City and will now rematch in Orlando. The Magic won the previous matchup in a close duel 118-107 where the Thunder saw Isaiah Roby have a breakout 19-point performance while veterans George Hill and Al Horford were out.
the Thunder currently sit at 1-3 after being blown out by the Pelicans in their New Year’s Eve game and the Magic sit at 4-1 after a hot start to the season. However, Orlando is coming off a blowout loss to the 76ers.
The key for the Thunder to win the game will be to shutdown all-star big man, Nikola Vucevic. Without Horford during the last matchup, the Thunder had no player who could shut down the big man. Even with Horford back, the Thunder will have to throw multiple looks at Vucevic in order to keep him a non-factor.
The Thunder leads the all-time record between the two teams with 17 wins while the Magic only has 8. The Thunder previously held a 5 game win streak against the Magic, but after losing to them during their previous game, the Magic now have a chance to make it 2 in a row against Oklahoma City.
For the Thunder, Ty Jerome and Trevor Ariza who have yet to make their appearances for the Thunder will continue to be out and for the Magic Chuma Okeke and James Ennis are out, Terrance Ross is probable, and Evan Fournier is questionable.
The rematch is set for 6 PM CT on Fox Sports Oklahoma.
